The Catawba Valley Lady Buccaneers travelled to Guilford Tech Community College on Tuesday, October 23rd for a 6:00 match. The Bucs controlled the match winning in three sets, 25-15, 25-20 and 25-12. Leading in the kill category was Jennifer Beatty with 13 kills for the match. Leah Wells posted 9 kills followed by Ceci Brandon with 8 kills. Kailey Russell added 6 kills and Megan Gouge contributed 4 kills. Leah Wells dominated the serving game with 5 service aces for the match. Jenn Beatty added 2 aces and Ceci Brandon had 1. Kailey Russell led in blocks with 1 solo block and 2 block assists for the match. Melinda Morgan had 2 block assists. In the dig category, Hannah Lewis led with 17 digs for the match. Jenn Beatty had 11 digs, Leah Wells posted 9 and Lacy Goodson added 5. Lacy Goodson put up 36 assists for the match and Kelsey Costner added 2.

The Lady Bucs final regular season match will be at home on Friday, October 26th at 6:00 against Johnston Community College, which will also be “Sophomore Night.” Catawba Valley will head to the Region X/ District P Tournament as the number one seed on Friday, November 2nd.

The Bucs overall record is 30-0. Their conference record is 18-0.
