Women’s Basketball blows by Tri-County 93-36
The Buccaneers Women’s Basketball team was to much for the visiting Tri-County CC Hawks with an impressive 93-36 win. The Bucs were again lead by Anika Jones with 16 ponts, while Sophomore Samiya Pitts added 14 and Freshman Kristen Almond added 10 points and 9 rebounds to teh winning effort.
In the first 7 minutes the Bucs jumped on a 20-4 lead, while the Hawks battled back the stingy Buc defense kept a 48-22 halftime lead. Coming out of the half the Bucs kept the Hawks off the scoreboard while they increased their lead to 65-22 in the first five minutes. The Bucs defense caused 23 turnover for the Hawks and limited them to 20% from the field.
The Buccaneers Women’s Basketball Team is at 4-0 and will play their next game at home against Montreat College JV Monday, November 19th at 7:00pm.
