The CVCC women’s basketball team defeated visiting the Thomasville Prep Phoenix 92-63. The Bucs were lead by Matrice Sweezy with 21 points and Kadesha Gibbs with 13 points. Gabrielle McClain added 10 rebounds in the winning effort.

The Bucs started out quick outscoring the Phoenix 30-6 in the first 10 minutes of the game, they ended the first half with a 47-28 score. In the second half the team started out quick again and finished the game outscoring the Phoenix 45-35 in the second half. The Bucs saw every player who entered the game score in the rout of the Phoenix.

The Bucs are now 6-0 on the season and will be back at home next Tuesday to take on Thomasville Prep for a second time.
