The #6 Buccaneers Baseball team took two games on Saturday afternoon from conference foe the Knights of Danville Community College. The Bucs took Game one 12-3 and game two 8-3.

Game 1 was offense was paced by Blake Myers who went 2-3 while batting in 2 rbi and scoring 3 runs of his own. Bill Little went 3-4 and belted a 1 run homerun to help spark the offense. The Winning pitcher of the game was Robert Whaley who threw a 7 inning complete game effort for his sixth win on the season.

Game 2 saw Blake Myers again produce going 2-4 in the game and driving in 2 runs. Loren King was able to take one deep and King went 2-2 on the day with 2 rbi and 2 runs. Steven Blythe was the winning pitcher coming in to close the final 2.1 innings. Blythe threw 5 strikeouts and shut out the Knights offense by not allowing any hits.

The #6 Bucs now sit 20-5 on the season and are 10-1 in the conference. The Buccaneers will face their toughest test facing always tough Brunswick CC in a conference 3 game series this weekend. Friday will be a double header starting at 1 and Saturday will conclude the series with a game at 12:00pm. Brunswick is currently ranked #13 in the NJCAA polls.
