The CVCC Lady Bucs traveled to the College of Southern Maryland for a two day invitational tournament. The Bucs played Hagerstown Community College in the 1:00 match.

The Bucs won the first match in 4 sets against the Hawks 25-19, 18-25, 25-18, 25-23. Leading the offensive game was Aimee Cloninger with 12 kills. Anna Henderson and Leah Wells both had 8 kills. Tiffany Brooks had 5 kills, and Megan Gouge and Madison Pogue had 4 kills a piece. The serving game was strong for the Lady Buccaneers with Aimee Cloninger, Madison Pogue and Katie Ruff all acing 3 each. Hannah Lewis led the defensive game with 33 digs, Leah Wells had 24, Aimee Cloninger 13, Madison Pogue 12 and Katie Ruff 10. Madison Pogue posted 34 assists for the set. The blocking game was solid for the Lady Bucs with Megan Gouge and Madison Pogue with 2.5 each and Tiffany Brooks adding 2.

In their second match of the night, Catawba Valley took on the College of Southern Maryland Hawks. The Bucs came out on top with scores of 25-9, 25-18, and 25-16. Aimee Cloninger and Anna Henderson led in the kill category with 9 kills each. Leah Wells had 7 and MeganGouge posted 6 kills. Leading the defensive game for the Lady Bucs was Hannah Lewis with 24 digs. Leah Wells had 11, Aimee Cloninger had 10 and Madison Pogue added 7 digs for the match. Madison Pogue put up 28 assists for the match. The serving game was strong for the Lady Bucs with Madison Pogue acing 4, followed by Lyndsey Detter with 3 and Aimee Cloninger with 2. Anna Henderson posted 1 block for the match.

The CVCC Lady Bucs traveled to the College of Southern Maryland for a two day invitational tournament. The second day of play started out with the Bucs playing Potomac State Community College for a 10:00 match.

The Bucs won the first match in 3 sets 25-13, 25-11, 25-15. Leading the offensive game was Anna Henderson with 11 kills. Aimee Cloninger had 8, Leah Wells had 7 and Tiffany Brooks and Madison Pogue both had 6 kills for the match. The serving game was very aggressive for the Lady Buccaneers with Katie Ruff acing 6, followed by Lyndsey Detter and Madison Pogue both posting 4 aces. Hannah Lewis led the defensive game with 23 digs, Leah Wells had 9, Madison Pogue 7and Katie Ruff 6. Madison Pogue posted 27assists for the set. Tiffany Brooks led in blocks with 1.5 and Aimee Cloninger added 1.

Madison Pogue put up a solid 30 assists for the match. The serving game was on for the Lady Bucs with Lyndsey Detter acing 4, Leah Wells 2 aces and Madison Pogue and Katie Ruff both acing 1. Anna Henderson posted 1.5 blocks for the match.

The Lady Bucs will return home on Tuesday September 17, 2013 for a Faculty night special event when they host Montreat JV at 6:00.

The Bucs overall record is 14-0 and their conference record is 4-0.
