Lady Bucs Volleyball Takes Three Conference games over Weekend
CVCC 3, Wake Tech CC 0 (26-24, 25-20, 25- 19)

The CVCC Lady Bucs traveled to Wake Tech Community College for a tri-match on Friday, September 20, 2013. In the first match of the day the Bucs played the Wake Tech Eagles at 3:00.
The Bucs won the match in 3 sets 26-24, 25-20, 25-19. Leading the offensive game was Leah Wells with 11 kills. Aimee Cloninger and Madison Pogue each had 8, and Megan Gouge posted 5 kills. Leah Wells aced 2 followed by Lyndsey Detter with 1 ace. Hannah Lewis and Leah Wells led the defensive game with 14 digs a piece. Aimee Cloninger had 11 digs. Madison Pogue put up 27 assist for the match. The blocking game was solid for Anna Henderson with 2.5 blocks.

In their second match of the day, Catawba Valley took on Louisburg College. The Bucs came out on top with scores of 25-19, 25-11 and 25-14. Aimee Cloninger and Megan Gouge led in the kill category with 9 kills each. Anna Henderson had 8 and Leah Wells posted 6 kills for the match. Leading the defensive game for the Lady Bucs was Hannah Lewis with 23 digs. Aimee Cloninger had 12, Leah Wells had 11 and Madison Pogue posted 10 digs. Madison Pogue put up 33 assists for the match. The serving game was on for the Lady Bucs with Aimee Cloninger, Madison Pogue and Hannah Lewis all acing 2 a piece. The blocking game was solid with Megan Gouge posting 1.5 blocks and Madison Pogue and Anna Henderson adding 1 block each.

Aimee Cloninger had 17 digs and Leah Wells had 13. Madison Pogue put up 29 assists for the match. The blocking game was very strong for the lady Bucs with Megan Gouge posting 4.5 blocks. Tiffany Brooks had 3 blocks and Aimee Cloninger and Anna Henderson both posted 1 block for the match.
The Lady Bucs will return home on Tuesday September 24, 2013 for a Operation Christmas Child special event when they host Toccoa Falls at 6:00.
The Bucs overall record is 18-0 and their conference record is 7-0.
