Red Hawks women’s hoops signs Eagles’ Jailen Cummings

MCDONOUGH, Ga. — The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball program announces the signing of Eagle's Landing High School (Ga.) standout Jailen Cummings.

"We are excited to bring Jailen Cummings aboard to Red Hawk Nation," said CVCC women's basketball head coach Tisha England. "She's a 5-10 power forward that's strong on the boards. I'm looking forward to working with her and expanding her game. She's a good addition to the Lady Red Hawks."

A four-year varsity athlete on the court, Cummings finished her prep basketball career at Eagle's Landing with 82 games played, 299 points scored, 200 rebounds and 47 steals.

Behind Cummings, the Eagles went 23-6 overall and 16-1 in AAAAA Region 4 standings this past, advancing to the third round of the state tournament. They also won region regular-season and tournament championships.

In her four years, Cummings helped lead the program to 87 wins, and the Eagles lost only 27 games. Eagle's Landing was also 58-9 in conference play.

Cummings joins a Red Hawks women's basketball team that went 24-6 overall last season, including 17-3 in Region 10 games — claiming the school's second-ever regular season conference title.
