CVCC women’s hoops signs Titans’ Montgomery

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — The Catawba Valley Community College women's basketball program announces the signing of Hopewell High School standout Ariana Montgomery.

"Ariana is a good character player who works hard and is excited to be a part of our program," said CVCC women's basketball head coach Tisha England. "She will come in and impact our team in every area. She outworks and hustles, and she is very coachable. We are overjoyed to have her a part of our program."

Montgomery played in 17 games this past season at Hopewell High School, averaging 5.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 1.0 assist per game

The Titans finished their 2018-19 season with a 17-9 overall record, a 9-5 mark in I-Meck 4A conference play and an appearance in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association 4A playoffs.

Montgomery joins a Red Hawks women's basketball team that went 24-6 overall last season, including 17-3 in Region 10 games — claiming the school's second-ever regular season conference title.
