She is such a hard worker who plays with a great attitude and desires to improve and progress her game. Ashley did a great job as a right-side hitter in the spring. Her consistency and positive attitude will be a great asset to this year’s team. |
 Carolyn Houser |  Carolyn Houser | # 10 Carolyn Houser Height: 5’5” Position: Setter Year: Sophomore High School: North Gaston Hometown: Dallas, NC Parents: Chris and Lisa Houser Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends College Interest: Dental Hygiene Coach Hudson’s Comments: Carolyn is a smart player whose consistency and dedication to the game make her a joy to coach. Carolyn is an all around player whose great hands put up an amazing 5.4 assists per set last fall. Carolyn also led the team in aces with 0.5 per set. Carolyn will be instrumental in running our offensive attack again this year. |
 Cortney Rogers |  Cortney Rogers | # 3 Cortney Rogers Height: 5’8” Position: Outside Hitter Year: Freshman High School: Asheville Hometown: Asheville, NC Parents: Reggie and Terri Rogers Hobbies: Piano and art College Interest: Communications Coach Hudson’s Comments: Cortney comes to the Lady Buccaneers from Montreat College where she played basketball and softball. Cortney was a standout athlete at Asheville High School where she played volleyball, basketball and softball. Cortney is excited about playing volleyball at the next level and admits that volleyball is her favorite sport to play. Cortney is an athletic, versatile player who will bring energy and quiet leadership to the floor. She is the type of player who will lead by example and gives 100%. Cortney’s favorite quote demonstrates this point, “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically” Romans 12:11. Cortney is a great addition to the line-up for this fall’s Buccaneer team. |
 Kalley Russel |  Kalley Russell | # 12 Kailey Russell Height: 6’0” Position: Middle Hitter Year: Freshman High School: Polk County Hometown: Columbus, NC Parents: Keith and Tammy Russell Hobbies: Basketball and Soccer College Interest: Undecided Coach Hudson’s Comments: Kailey is an exciting addition to the Lady Buccaneer’s lineup. Kailey is quick on the block and an aggressive attacker who moves to the ball well. She is a team player who will make an immediate impact for the Lady Bucs. Kailey Russell helped lead the Lady Wolverines of Polk County High School to the fifth round of play-offs last year, winning the District Championship on the way and tying for first in the Western Highlands Conference. Kailey was named All Conference Player for the 2010 fall season. Kailey is a versatile and athletic player who will make her mark on NJCAA volleyball in a powerful way. |

Kasey will contribute to the defensive game with her hustle and quickness. She is a consistent, aggressive server who will provide motivation and encouragement as a true team player. Kasey will bring depth to the back row this fall as a defensive specialist and help strengthen the Lady Buccaneer’s defensive game.. |
 Megan Clark |  Megan Clark | # 16 Megan Clark Height: 6’1” Position: Outside Hitter Year: Sophomore High School: Hibriten Hometown: Lenoir, NC Parents: Gary Clark and Kim Clark Hobbies: Swimming, outdoors, riding four wheelers College Interest: Criminal Justice Coach Hudson’s Comments: Megan is a strong and aggressive player. Her dedication and hard work are evident on the court. Megan finished second on the team last season for kills per set with 1.9 to give her a total of 160 kills for the season. Megan has a hard, consistent serve and great hands. Megan not only excelled on the court last fall, but in the classroom as well, finishing the year with a perfect 4.0 GPA earning last year’s Team Academic Award. Megan will help lead the offensive attack this fall with her versatile and powerful swing. |

Rachel plays the game with a lot of energy and enthusiasm. Her positive attitude is contagious and her work ethic makes her a joy to coach. |

She is such a dependable player who works hard every day. Savannah’s strength and aggressiveness are two of her strongest attributes. Savannah will be a key role player this fall. |
 Breckin Settlemyer |  Brekin Settlemyer | # 13 Breckin Settlemyer Height: 6’0” Position: Middle Hitter Year: Sophomore High School: Jesse C. Carson Hometown: Salisbury, NC Parents: Jamie and Kim Settlemyer & Billie and Chris Brown Hobbies: Spending time with family and friends College Interest: Radiography Coach Hudson’s Comments: Breckin is a tremendous athlete and a lot of fun to coach. She is always ready to improve and learn. As a dominating middle blocker, Breckin came in last year ready to make headlines and rank nationally in NJCAA standings…and she did. Breckin had 140 kills for the season at an average of 1.67 per set. She was ranked 9th in the Nation in Hitting Efficiency with an amazing 45% hitting efficiency. Breckin also ranked in the blocks per set category with 96 total blocks for the season, putting her 29th in the national standings for blocks per set. Because of her offensive dominance, Breckin received the 2010 CVCC Offensive Player of the Year Award. Breckin was also a Region X All-Conference Player. Breckin will be a powerful force at the middle hitter position this year and should continue to make headlines. with her versatile and powerful swing. |

As a freshman, Jodi developed and improved her overall game and stepped up to lead the team this past spring as libero. Jodi’s court awareness and precision passing will be key this year as she leads the defensive game this year for the Lady Buccaneers. |
 Lacy Goodson |  Lacy Goodson | # 14 Lacy Goodson Height: 5’6” Position: Setter Year: Freshman High School: North Lincoln Hometown: Lincolnton, NC Parents: Chad and Glenda Goodson Hobbies: Volleyball and spending time with family and friends College Interest: Business Coach Hudson’s Comments: Lacy was a four year starter at North Lincoln who earned All-Conference honors four years in a row. She was also voted the 2011 Player of the Year for the Southern Piedmont Conference. As part of the Carolina Select Volleyball Club, Lacy was named to the All-Tournament Team 2010 Platinum. Lacy help lead North Lincoln to the fourth round of play-offs last year. Lacy has incredible skills as a setter. She is extremely comfortable on the court and really takes control of the offense. Lacy’s experience and dedication will help her make an immediate impact for the Lady Buccaneer’s Volleyball Program. |
