RedHawks Men's Basketball Comeback Falls Short

The Red Hawks men's Basketball team comeback try in the second half came up just short as the Red Hawks fell 68-73 to the visiting Cobras from Caldwell CC&TI.  Falling behind by 9 at the half the Red Hawks outscored the Cobras 46 to 42 in the second half.  The Red Hawks were able to cut the lead to 2 with 2 minutes remaining in the game but were unable to take the lead at the end.

The Red Hawks were lead by Tryle Poindexter who scored a game high 14 points, all of which were scored in the second half.  Dalton Nelson also scored double digits with 12 while adding 6 rebounds in the effort.  Anthony Atkins dished out a team high 3 assists while Ray'Quelle Days stole the ball from the Cobras 4 times and grabbed 5 rebounds.  Kenny Lemon also posted 6 rebounds while dropping in 8 points.

The Red Hawks will be on the road for the next to games heading to Spartanburg Methodist on Wednesday, December 3 and at Richard Bland on Saturday, Decmeber 6.  The Red Hawks will open up home conference action against Bryant & Stratton College on Friday, December 12.  The Red Hawks are currently 4-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play.
